High Court of Australia
The High Court is the highest court in the Australian judicial system. It was established in 1901 by Section 71 of the Constitution. The functions of the High Court are to interpret and apply the law of Australia; to decide cases of special federal significance including challenges to the constitutional validity of laws and to hear appeals, by special leave, from Federal, State and Territory courts.
Supreme Court of Western Australia
The Supreme Court is the State's highest court, with responsibility for both criminal and civil matters. It is also the State's main appeal court. The Supreme Court is divided into two divisions - the General Division and the Court of Appeal.

Magistrates Court of WA
The Magistrates Court of Western Australia deals with adults, aged 18 or over, required to appear in court after being charged with a criminal offence.
District Court of WA
Constituted under the District Court of Western Australia Act 1969, the District Court is the intermediate court in Western Australia, presided over by a District Court judge.
Family Court of WA
Deals with Family Law matters such as divorce, child custody and other Family Law matters.
State Administrative Tribunal of Western Australia - SAT
The State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) in Western Australia deals with a broad range of administrative, commercial and personal matters. These matters span human rights, vocational regulation, commercial and civil disputes, and development and resources issues.
